I've decided to take the plunge and move my blog to a new address - www.myvanitybag.com. I would still be reading and commenting here. However, it would just be easier for me to blog at the other place and we all know that Vox is really cranky at times.
If you have a google account, please do follow me there. I would really like to see familiar voices there! As a thank you for all your support, I'm having a mini giveaway for everyone. To enter, just fill in the form below. Contest will be open till 11th of June!
CONTEST ENDED!
I asked the MA to help me get matched.. And wasn’t really sure about it. So I came home and tweet about it. Facefab came to the rescue! She said it was really good.. So I decided I should go grab it the next morning. But that very night, Karen from Make Up and Beauty Blog talked about her favourite primers here and the LM Oil Free Primer sounded just right for me.
So the next day morning, I took some time off (or rather my DD wanted to stay with Hubs at home!) and went shopping. My CC was definitely not thanking me.. Hee! And I hauled both items.. Woo hoo~
Immediately after I came back, I tried it on.. Love love love it. I could see myself wearing it everyday on school days. Granted the coverage isn’t much but for a tinted moisturizer, it’s amazing! All I had on was LM’s secret camouflage concealer, tinted moisturizer and my MAC pressed powder.
So today I decided to try on LM’s oil free primer.. Here’s the look. On the left was taken just right after I applied all my makeup and the right was hours later.
To defy all fashion rules, I decide to rock out a yellow gold look. Where am I going to? No where. Probably to the mall and back. =P As usual, do not mind my brows.. I probably get them done next week when I head down to Sydney! FINALLY! CIVILISATION! I know I do look a little wane.. It’s from the bad tummy. It’s better but not 100% well yet. Just a short update.. I need to go wake up my sleeping princess now. It’s pass her lunch time. And to be extremely OOT.. Here’s something utterly random.. Our big bunch of celery!
I stumbled on this post by Em from Too Much Blush last week. Since it consist of 4 brushes and I only had the 187, I thought it was really a good bargain! I’ve been wanting to get the 168 for quite a bit now but I was hesitant as I do own a 169. So I thought what the heck, it was a good bargain even after the exchange rate and stuff.. I might as well just splurge on it and not keep drooling after the 168 each time I hit MAC counters. So on top of it, I dropped in two eyeshadows in order to get free shipping. So the Perfect Style promo/collection (whichever you want to call it) comes with 4 brushes.. A 187 (fibre optic), 168 (angled blush brush), 263 (angled brush for brows and liner) and a 222 (blending brush). On top of it.. It comes with a gorgeous black case with a nice minty green lining inside.. With 4 different slots for the brushes.. And on the opposite side a zippered pouch. p.s. I can’t believe I’m blogging while waiting for my interviews. Geez! I’m really nervous. Sigh. EDIT: Okay.. After I finished typing this post, the interview call came.. I was stammering like crazy. *Fingers cross* Hopefully I get this. =/![]()

I finally gotten round doing this review on I heart Cosmetics soapwort cream cleanser.. I've been using this for the past 1.5 weeks and look how much I've used! Hee..~
One of the things to note is that I’m terribly sensitive, especially to Optiphen/Optiphen plus. And this product does contain Optiphen plus as a preservative. I’m not going to lie and say it doesn’t sting when I use it.. BUT if you do not leave it on for a long time.. I will say its bearable. AND I bought this knowing that it contains Optiphen plus as a preservative.
With this aside, lets get down to the review.. Firstly, it’s amazing for a cream cleanser.. It feels so luxurious on skin. And smells quite yummy in a natural/earthy way.
I use it to remove my makeup.. Since some days, I would only put on a light layer of foundation and some blush.. I will say it does an amazing job of removing everything. On the days when I do wear sunblock (I don’t skip sunblock on purpose. REALLY! =P), it still does a good job of removing almost everything and unclogging my pores. However, I would also use Classy Minerals/MMBB’s AHA exfo cleanser to ensure everything is removed.
To note, I always double cleanse. It’s hardwired into my genes. I’m a clean freak.. I can’t help it but to double cleanse even though my skin feels clean.
After washing off, it doesn’t leave behind any greasy residue or anything. It doesn’t contain a lot of ingredients to it (hurray for that as I strongly advocate less is more!) and its lovingly made by our geminisc. =P
Would I repurchase? I’m still hold out on that. So far, it’s one of the best makeup removal product I have on hand. It doesn’t dry me out, smells amazing, feels oh so good.. What more can I ask for? Okay, I could ask for it to be Optiphen free I guess. LOL~ I doubt its really possible at this point in time. But the stinging sensation is somewhat uncomfortable even though bearable.
So that’s it.. I shall be nice and leave a teeny bit for Frond/Jo to sample. Heee.. For those interested (and I strongly you suggest to try it), she’s having her birthday sale now! Cream cleansers are sold for only USD$8.50! Click yourselves one!
I’m definitely a nude lippie kinda girl. I just tried on my Oasis Lip Smacks. It is definitely rare to see a gloss being able to achieve the nude lips.. It' is extremely pigmented (which I love) and gives the hint of gloss. I’ve definitely gone to be a lipstick person but this really changed my mind. =P
The rest of my face is pretty blah.. I’m going through a bout of breakouts AGAIN. Thanks to the temperature drop, my skin is feeling really tight again. I decided to skip all Classy Minerals/MMBB skincare products. Actually I ran out of the dead sea mist.. So it’s just the AHA and Purifying cleanser left.
I did a really simple 4 step routine today. Jurllique soothing foaming cleanser, followed by Jurlique daily exfoliating cream, Clinique clarifying toner in no. 2 and my Priori skin brightening complex. My skin still feels like it needs more moisture but upon touch, it feels really supple. So I’m not going to overdo anything in case I break out again. Urgh!
Sorry for the rant post. I needed to rant about this. My skin is bugging me a lot.. On the brighter side, my interview for my Uni application (I decided to transfer out..) is tomorrow. Hopefully it will be successful.. Wish me luck! I would probably need it.
When Coastal Scents had its Memorial Day sale, I grabbed the rest of the lip smacks that I wanted..
And being the brush ‘ho I am, I couldn’t resist checking out without getting a brush. So with Inan’s review on the CS brushes she bought for her sister, I gotten myself an Italian Badger crease brush.
I still do like the lip smacks.. I use it for my casual looks.. Just a single eyeshadow colour, eyeliner, blush and the lip smacks.. =D Here’s an example of it..
p.s. Sorry about my bed hair.. LOL~ my hair seems to curl up now with all the weight gone. =P
Okay.. So I over-"haul"-ed this month.. However, after testing a few items, I decided to let some unloved babies go to better homes.. PM me if you're interested..
